About the Project

This project will implement traffic calming, pedestrian and safety improvements along Route 50 (Washington Street) in the Town of Middleburg. The project will include new pedestrian lighting.  Also, the project will replace and upgrade over 2,000 feet of water main.

Updates and information on the project are also posted on the Town of Middleburg website and the Town of Middleburg's Facebook page.

Traffic Impacts

The direct access from Liberty, Hamilton and Jay streets to Route 50 is now closed. Drivers are asked to follow detour signage to access these roads via Federal or Marshall streets. Route 50 will continue to remain open with at least one lane at all times. This phase will last until about mid-September. Crews will then finish final details on the project, such as lighting, through October.
