Traffic Impacts
Construction activities will take place primarily overnight and may involve multiple lane and ramp closures, particularly when pre-fabricated sections of the bridge are transported along I-95 and installed.- I-95 lane closures will be weeknights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- VDOT will maintain one travel lane on I-95 in each direction and an emergency lane during lane closures.
- Expect detours on Richmond city streets overnight during bridge work.
- Possible weekend lane closures on I-95 from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. This will be communicated to drivers several days prior to the lane closures.
