Recently Completed: Richmond - Franklin Street Ramp Widening

The recently completed $2.3 million project widened the ramp from I-95 south to East Franklin Street (Exit 74B) in the City of Richmond. Work includes widening the ramp from two to three lanes and installing new traffic signals and pedestrian crossings.
Benefits
The project improves traffic flow on the ramp and reduces congestion on I-95, especially during the morning rush hour. In addition, pedestrian safety is improved with new crosswalks.
Major Milestones
Construction began December 2018 and was completed in October 2019.
