Project Details

This project will involve repair and resurfacing of more than five miles of pavement along I-64 east and west between the I-95/I-195 Bryan Park interchange and Parham Road (Exit 181) to include ramps and merge lanes. 

Concrete repairs will begin in fall 2009. Major asphalt overlay will begin in spring 2010 with completion expected by late 2010. 9/22/09 News Release

Six Year Improvement Program

Traffic Impacts

The traffic management plan for this project will be coordinated with nearby projects such as the I-95 bridge rehabilitation project. There will be detailed lane and ramp closure time constraints. Drivers can expect:

  • Nighttime lane closures during the week
  • Weekend lane closures during the day and night
  • Short term detours for ramp work
