Project details

This project on Pocahontas Trail westbound over Toe Ink Swamp (Route 60) involved the following:

Replaced the bridge deck to repair structural cracks and spalls and provided an improved reinforced concrete deck,
Repaired and installed a new traffic safety barrier and railing on both sides of the bridge,
Replaced the old bridge deck and repaired the cracks and spalls on the sub-structural abutments of the bridge,
Installed a new traffic safety barrier and railing on both sides of the bridge deck,
Re-coated/re-painted the existing structural steel girders/beams,
Replaced the existing pavement – approximately 100 feet on each side of the bridge deck, and
Installed a new guardrail – approximately 100 feet on both sides of the new pavement.
