Location
Hampton Roads, Virginia. The study area consists of the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach, and the counties of Isle of Wight and York.

Description
The Hampton Roads Crossing Study was initiated in late 1993 to investigate methods of relieving congestion at the existing Interstate 64 Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. A Final Environmental Impact Statement has been prepared to evaluate the impact of building a new crossing of Hampton Roads.
