    Ferry map

From Washington, D.C. and Richmond to the Jamestown Dock

• Take Interstate 95 South
  
  
• Just north of Richmond, take Interstate 295 South to Interstate 64 East towards Williamsburg
  
  
• Once in Williamsburg, take the Lightfoot/Route 199 exit from I-64 East
  
  
• Follow Route 199 to Jamestown Road (Route 31)
  
  
• Route 31 will take you straight to the ferry dock

From the Lynchburg area to the Surry Dock

• Take the Route 265 (Route 29 Bypass) to Danville
  
  
• Once in Danville, continue on the bypass until you reach South Boston/Route 58 East
  
  
• Take the South Boston/Route 58 East exit
  
  
• Continue on Route 58 East to I-95 North in Emporia
  
  
• Take I-95 North to Exit 31 and take Route 40 East
  
  
• Go on Route 40 for 22 miles to Waverly and then 12 more miles to the intersection of Route 10
  
  
• Take Route 10 East for eight miles to Surry and the intersection with Route 31
  
  
• Take Route 31 North from Surry to the Scotland ferry landing
