Welcome, and thanks for visiting the Risk Management Worksheet page!

If you have participated in a risk management session, you used a worksheet to identify, define, and rate project risks.  We have had many positive comments about this program, and about the usefulness of the risk management worksheet, so we wanted to post a worksheet template for those of you who might be interested in using this process on other projects, or even during constructability reviews.

It was mentioned using it during constructability reviews, as this could be a good record of potential risks that you can track through the preliminary engineering phase and into the construction phase.

The template has 3 worksheets, broken up by risk category.  For smaller projects you could put all risks on one sheet.  We've added examples on each worksheet so you can see the level of detail of specific risks identified.

We've also included a guidance document that has explanations of some of the worksheet columns.

Two things:

  1. If you modify the form to work better for you, please send a copy so the template can be improved for everyone else.
  2. When you finish a project, please send a copy of the completed risk worksheets you used on the project so that we can start compiling the different risks you've had.  If we find the same things over and over, we want to do something about them.

Thanks for all you do, and let us know if there is anything we can help you with.
