Full stops up to 15-minute intervals are needed for construction activities as part of 95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension project in Stafford County
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Drivers on Interstate 95 southbound who use the exit 133/Route 17 interchange in Stafford County will experience delays overnight as construction continues on the 10-mile extension of the 95 Express Lanes.
Starting at 10 p.m. tonight, July 21, a single right lane on I-95 southbound will close near the interchange.
Weather permitting, all traffic on the I-95 southbound off-ramp at exit 133 will be intermittently stopped overnight for up to 15 minutes at a time. The full stops will be completed by 4:30 a.m. tomorrow, July 22.
Overnight travelers on I-95 southbound seeking to exit to Route 17 northbound or southbound are encouraged to use the exit 136/Centreport Parkway interchange to avoid delays.
