Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 Scheduled to Close During Overnight Hours Tuesday, November 20
FAIRFAX, Va. – The ramp from westbound I-66 to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) will be closed during the overnight hours of Tuesday, November 20, from midnight to 4 a.m. Wednesday, November 21. The closure is needed to repair an impact attenuator. Traffic will be detoured farther west to the Route 50 Interchange where drivers will be directed to exit onto Route 50 East, take the left exit onto eastbound I-66, then follow signs to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road).
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. The I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes are expected to open in December 2022.
