PAEONIAN SPRINGS – The Virginia Department of Transportation will close Clarkes Gap Road (Route 662) between Route 9 and Hamilton Station Road (Route 704) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 through Friday, April 29 to replace several pipes, weather permitting.

Through traffic will be detoured via Route 9 and Hamilton Station Road back to Clarkes Gap Road. Detour signs will be in place. Message boards are in place alerting motorists to the closure.

Residents and businesses along the closed portion of Clarkes Gap Road will continue to have access during the closures.
