CLARKES GAP ROAD CLOSURES MAY 9-13
Detours in place for culvert work
PAEONIAN SPRINGS – The Virginia Department of Transportation will close Clarkes Gap Road (Route 662) between Route 9 and Hamilton Station Road (Route 704) from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13 for culvert replacement, weather permitting.
Through traffic will be detoured via Route 9 and Hamilton Station Road back to Clarkes Gap Road. Detour signs will be in place. Message boards are already in place alerting motorists to the closures.
Residents and businesses within the closure area, school buses transporting students who live within the closure area and emergency vehicles will still have access during the work.
