Join VDOT Oct. 27 for East Elden Street Widening Public Hearing
Give input on proposed improvements from Monroe Street to Fairfax County Parkway

HERNDON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing Thursday, Oct. 27, on planned improvements to East Elden Street (Route 606) between Monroe Street and Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286) in the Town of Herndon. The project includes widening East Elden Street from four lanes to six between Herndon Parkway and Fairfax County Parkway, and improving access management from Van Buren Street to Herndon Parkway. Bicycle and pedestrian accommodations will be incorporated throughout the project corridor.
The public can stop by to review and discuss plans between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Herndon Senior Center, 873 Grace Street, Herndon, VA 20170.
