Scotland Heights Road Reopens
New paved surface from Simpsons Creek Road to Flint Farm Drive

ROUND HILL – Scotland Heights Road has reopened to through traffic, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The road was closed to through traffic from late August until Monday, Nov. 14 in order to replace just over a mile of gravel surface with pavement, from Simpsons Creek Road to Flint Farm Drive. In addition, the ditches were restored along this stretch of Scotland Heights Road.

The project was carried out under VDOT’s Rural Rustic Road Program, which aims to preserve the traditional feel of a rural road while making surface and other improvements within the current right-of-way.
