The proposed plans seek to improve the intersection of Route 10 (Colonial Trail East) and Route 617 (Bacons Castle Trail/White Marsh Road) in Surry County. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and traffic operations by building left turn lanes on Route 10 (Colonial Trail East) and a right turn lane on Route 617 (Bacons Castle Trail). Improvements will also add sight distance at the intersection for crossing traffic.

This project will run from 0.135 mile east of Route 617 to 0.277 mile west of Route 617 on Route 10, for a project length of 0.412 mile.
