Piney Forest Road (US Business 29), located in the northwest area of Danville, Virginia, is a Principal Entrance Corridor entering the city from the north and connects the Piedmont Drive/Mount Cross Road area to Pittsylvania County. The Piney Forest Road study focuses on the 2.5-mile portion of Piney Forest Road from Franklin Turnpike, at the north, to Holt Garrison Parkway, at the south.

The purpose of the Piney Forest Corridor Study is to identify strategies and improvements to address existing and future congestion, safety concerns, and multimodal needs.
